Madisyn Sherman‘s art is all about capturing the magic of the natural world. She’s the creative force behind Moody Moon Company, where she turns her love of printmaking and illustration into beautiful and stylish clothing, artwork, and accessories! Madisyn’s experience growing up in Northern Washington, surrounded by towering pines, wild coastlines, peaceful rivers, and radiant sunsets, has left a lasting impression on her art.
She honed her skills at Western Washington University, graduating with an art degree in 2018. While she tried out many different art forms in college, printmaking and illustration were what really clicked. Following graduation, Madisyn went on an epic backpacking trip down the West Coast. She explored everything from deep forests to dramatic cliffs and charming coastal towns, soaking up the vibes of each place. This adventure wasn’t just fun; it became a major source of inspiration for Moody Moon Co.
The people she met and the places she explored on her trip are woven into her art. Her work is all about connecting with nature, exploring, and looking inward. Madisyn shares her unique view of the world through her prints and illustrations, inviting everyone to experience its beauty and wonder.

Madisyn’s process is a blend of artistic vision and meticulous technique. She starts with inspiration drawn directly from nature—the intricate patterns of a leaf, the vibrant hues of a sunset, the rugged texture of a mountainside. These observations become the seeds of her designs. Then, she expertly uses linocut and screen printing to bring her visions to life. Each print is carefully hand-pulled, adding a unique touch to every item. This hands-on approach, combined with thoughtfully-chosen, quality materials, ensures that each piece is not only beautiful but also built to last!
