About the Program

Building community is our jam!

Eugene Made is a membership-focused marketing initiative created in 2023 by a local digital development company, Cocomo.dev. The goals of the program include:

We’re not a retailer! The only thing we sell is our services. We provide a platform where members can showcase their businesses and products, get more visibility online, network and share resources with other local businesses, and grow their customer base.

Why We Believe

Local makership is key to a thriving community.

Local maker and retailer businesses provide diverse, living-wage jobs and opportunities for local entrepreneurs, reduce environmental impact and over-reliance on foreign goods, and create a more sustainable and resilient regional economy. We help these businesses thrive so that our community thrives!

About Our Members

Proudly rooted in Lane County.

Lane County maker and retailer businesses vary widely in terms of their ownership, size, products, and target markets. Most are small, one-person operations, while others are corporations with hundreds of employees. Some businesses only sell at farmers’ markets, while others ship their products all over the world.

Despite the differences, they do share one common thread—they’re all passionate about making high-quality products! They understand the importance of supporting community and often share close working relationships with other small local businesses. Our members…

Meet the Founder

Hi, I'm Cody.

Nice to meet you! Through my work with various values-driven nonprofits and small businesses over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to meet passionate artisans who poured their heart and soul into their craft, inspiring deep respect and admiration within me. Local makership is key to building strong, vibrant communities and economies, and makers should be empowered to thrive doing what they love! That’s what inspired me to start Eugene Made.

I hope to utilize my marketing and resource-building skills to support local makers and help build a more vibrant and equitable economy here in Lane County.

Some fun facts about me...
My first pet was a duck. I grew up on a ranch in rural East Texas. I was an extra in two Hollywood films. I've lived in Hilo, Honolulu, San Francisco, and Seattle. Keeping freshwater and marine aquariums is my favorite hobby. My biggest fear is getting trapped in a crowded subway car. I can't get enough dad jokes!
